Courtney Olson joined Coi in August 2016 as Wine Director. Recently having held the role of sommelier in San Francisco at Quince Restaurant and in New York at the MoMA’s THE MODERN, a Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant. At Coi, Courtney takes inspiration from the innovative seafood cuisine Chef Matthew Kirkley creates, allowing her to focus the wine list on a shared passion of theirs; the great wine regions of France.
Passionate about deepening her knowledge and understanding of wine, Courtney has been accepted into the Master of Wine Study Program, holds a diploma with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, a Champagne master-level certification with the Wine Scholar Guild, and is certified as a sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Inspired by colleague and guest interaction, Courtney’s philosophy is to create an environment where great hospitality, food and wine are a daily celebration.
