Jessie Barker was born and raised in the Bay Area, and has been working in the San Francisco restaurant industry for the past seven years. After completing a food studies and food management graduate program at NYU, Barker moved back to the west coast where she became the Banquet and Events Manager at the Tavern at Lark Creek. Barker then moved on to Tres Agaves (where she and Madelyn met and worked together) and was their Private Dining Manager for two years. Barker then moved on to Nopa, one of San Francisco’s most beloved restaurants, where she established herself as a manager for over two years. When Barker made the decision to leave Nopa, she made plans to travel to Cuba with Markoe, where the idea for Media Noche began to come to fruition. She brings a wealth of restaurant management and marketing experience to this new venture with Markoe.
