Lisa Robins

Born and raised in Northern California, Lisa Robins divided her time growing up between her mother’s home, with its huge vegetable garden, and her father’s, with its wonderful wine cellar. Both parents are excellent cooks and wine enthusiasts. After spending her college years working in the East Bay at Bette’s Ocean View Diner and Zachary’s Chicago Pizza, she decided to move to San Francisco and focus on a career in restaurants. Stints at Elroy’s, Maya and Jianna led to an opportunity to open Marche in Menlo Park as the General Manager and Wine Director where she gained a reputation as one of the area’s best sommeliers.

Eventually, Lisa decided to work closer to her San Francisco home, spending time in management at Aqua and then Rubicon. She started at Rose Pistola in January, 2011, where she brought a professional emphasis on service, as well as great style, value and focus to the wine program. After five years at Rose Pistola, she took the opportunity to move down the street to Alfred’s, where she is committed to offering warm and welcoming hospitality.

Lisa lives in North Beach with her husband, and spends her spare time cooking and following the Giants.
