Madeline Janning

  • Where are you from? I am originally from San Jose, but have lived in San Francisco for 12 years (eek!) and recently made the jump to the Oakland.

  • How did you end up working at Magnum? I was looking to make a change from my most recent agency and had heard amazing things about the Magnum team.

  • What is your role on the team? Executive Director

  • When did you know you wanted to work in food and/or media marketing? When I found out that was a job? No, but I have always been interested in anything to do with food - making it, eating it, sourcing amazing specialty ingredients, researching the history of a specific dish - I’m pretty obsessed with all of it. I had been working in marketing and landed a job with ICHI Sushi helping them expand their popular Mission location and continued to work with some amazing clients, cementing my love of the culinary and restaurant industry.

  • What is the most exciting part of being on the Magnum Team? We work with some AMAZING clients, it’s such a pleasure to work with some of the top culinary destinations in San Francisco.

  • You’re ordering a pizza, only one topping allowed, what is it? Mushrooms.

  • What is a publication you are currently obsessed with? Bon Appetit

  • What is the first city on your traveler’s bucket list? Mexico City

  • Where is your favorite place to eat right now? Shakewell in Oakland

  • What is an ingredient you cannot cook without? Coconut oil, I use it with everything!

  • What is your perfect happy hour drink and vittle? Negroni and popcorn.
